Repentance Accepted
“The human being is not infallible, man is prone to error, but when a mistake is committed, cry to Allah so much that the mistake becomes a means of a boon from Allah. A person once asked, “How much should I cry over my errors, how much should I repent? In the end, there should be some sign that my repentance has been accepted.” I replied, “Yes, there is. When you shed some tears and sincerely repent from your heart, then you will feel a coolness in your heart. This is the sign that one’s repentance has been accepted. Sin burns up the heart with fire, so when the torrents of Allah’s mercy descend, the fire will be put out, and as if a voice from within says, “Do not cry any further.” This is how one can tell whether or not their repentance has been accepted or not.”-Mawaahib-e-Rabbaaniyah pg. 42

What Intention Should a Person Have When in the Company of Their Shaykh?
“Do not go to the Mashaa’ikh to get an increase in knowledge. Go to them to get the quality of Ihsaan from their hearts. It is highly possible that a person may have more knowledge than their Shaykh. Then this person will think that the train of his knowledge is better than the plane of the Shaykh’s Ihsaan, even though a plane is much quicker than a train. That means that what this person of knowledge would achieve in days in trying to reach Allah, the Shaykh can do in a matter of moments. So the mureed should consider himself to be a train, and should consider the Shaykh to be a plane. Hazrat Maulana Qasim Nanotwi (Founder of Darul Uloom Deoband) (RA), Hazrat Maulana Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi (RA), and Hakeem-ul-Ummah Hazrat Thanwi (RA) did not go to Hazrat Haji Imdaadullah (RA) to seek knowledge, but rather they went to acquire the kayfiyat of Ihsaan from him.”

The Greatness of Allah’s Name
The following was said by Hazrat (DB) while in Makkah:
“My understanding is that any person who takes the name of Allah even once with sincerity, that Allah will not put him in jahannam. His name is so great that whoever utters it from their mouth once with love, it is far from the unlimited mercy of Allah that he would put this person in jahannam. That person who sheds one tear for the sake of Allah can never be rejected. He cannot have a bad ending. That tear is preserved in the court of Allah. If for some reason this person is overpowered by his nafs and runs away from Allah, then too, that tear is preserved in the knowledge of Allah. Allah uses it as an excuse for His mercy to find His servant, that he once cried out of love for Me, how can I let it go to waste!”
After saying the above, Hazratwala (DB) said in a very soft, heartfelt voice, “These are not simple things. This is all due to the service of my elders, due to their barakah, Allah has granted this knowledge.”Subhanallah! Take notice how the Ahlullah never attribute anything to themselves…they are always lost in the love of Allah and the special servants of Allah.

The Secrets Behind Istighfaar
“From the verse, “seek forgiveness from your Lord” (Surah Nuh), two issues become apparent. 1. We will commit sin, which is why we are being commanded to seek forgiveness.2. Allah would not have commanded us to seek forgiveness if He did not want to forgive us. Just like when a kind hearted father tells his son to seek forgiveness, the father’s intention is already to forgive. Thus, Allah telling us to seek forgiveness is enough evidence that He wants to forgive us. Therefore, hasten and do not be late or slow in seeking forgiveness.”
