I Do not Ever Recall that I…
Hazrat Phoolphuri (RA) said, “Our Shaikh and Murshid Hazrat Thanwi (RA) used to say,
I do not ever recall that I ever pointed the bottom end of my cane towards the qiblah.
I do not ever recall that I ever payed a servant by throwing the money on the ground.
I do not ever recall that I touched my shoes, slippers, or sandals with my right hand.
I do not ever recall that I received money with my left hand.

One’s footwear is to be handled with the left hand because of dirt etc…that might be on the footwear. It is against adab to touch things with the feet or to spread one’s legs in the direction of something respectable. Keeping that in mind, the position of one’s footwear is also something lowly and therefore is awarded the status of being touched by the right hand which is used to works of khair.
Money is a bounty from Allah and deserves respect. Therefore, it should be received by the right hand.

The significance of “I do not ever recall that I touched my shoes, slippers, or sandals with my right hand” is, I think, that it is Sunnah to hold the shoe or sandals… with the fingers of the left hand?
I don’t understand the significance of the following:
“I do not ever recall that I received money with my left hand”
