Real Loyalty and Love for One’s Shaikh

Discussing the notion of having an intense connection to one’s shaikh, Hazrat Thanwi (RA) said that Hazrat Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi (RA) used to say, “If Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi (RA) and Hazrat Haji Imdadullah (RA) were to be in the same majlis, then I would not even look towards Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi (RA) and just be focused on my own shaikh, Hazrat Haji Imdadullah (RA).”

Subhanallah!  I pray to Allah that he grant us the true love, loyalty, and appreciation of our Mashaaikh, particularly those from whom we gain our islah.  Aameen.
