Conditions for Accepting Gifts

Hazrat Thanwi (RA) has laid three conditions for mureeds who wish to present gifts to the Shaikh:

1. It should not be on a regular basis, and not deemed necessary.

2. The amount (quantity) should not be so much that it feels burdensome.

3. The purpose should not be to direct the focus of the Shaikh towards one’s self, but rather the goal should only be to acquire the love of the Shaikh.
