Another Example of Why We Need A Shaikh

Hazrat Maulana Rumi (RA) gives another example for the need of a Shaikh in the following manner: if a person is in jail, then can one inmate free the other inmate?  Can one inmate bail out the other inmate?  No, one inmate cannot free another inmate, nor can inmates bail each other out.  To free someone from prison, a person from the outside world has to come to bring the bail and free the inmate.  Only those people who have their body and mind free from being imprisoned by their nafs, their carnal desires, and evil desires can rectify and reform those imprisoned by their nafs, carnal passions, and base desires.
