The Secrets Behind Istighfaar

“From the verse, “seek forgiveness from your Lord” (Surah Nuh), two issues become apparent.  1. We will commit sin, which is why we are being commanded to seek forgiveness.2. Allah would not have commanded us to seek forgiveness if He did not want to forgive us.  Just like when a kind hearted father tells his son to seek forgiveness, the father’s intention is already to forgive.  Thus, Allah telling us to seek forgiveness is enough evidence that He wants to forgive us.  Therefore, hasten and do not be late or slow in seeking forgiveness.”
