Three Things to Attain Nisbat Quickly

“I have heard the following from the shuyookh that I have trained under, “In order to attain nisbat with Allah, i.e. Wilayah khaassah, one must make three things binding on one’s self:

1. Abundant Zikr

2. Company of the Ahlullah

3. Leaving Sin

The first two are easy, but the last one is the most difficult.

Hazrat Thanwi (RA) was once asked, “How can one give up sin?”  Hazrat Thanwi (RA) replied, “There is nothing that cause a person to leave sin except a person’s own willpower, i.e. one’s own himmah.”

Hence, it is imperative that we leave sin as soon as we can.”
