Why Have We Come Here?

Hazrat Hakeem-ul-Ummah Mawlana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) has written, “Man has come into this world to gather the capital for the hereafter. So man’s real work is religious occupation. However, out of necessity, in order aid and fortify this religious work, man has been given the allowance to to have a worldly occupation also.  But this allowance has been given on the condition of moderation.

Keeping the above mentioned principle in mind, one should abstain from all that which is outside its parameters. It is to gain a greater recognition of this principle that the reading of religious literature, listening to religious speech, and being in the company of religious scholars is necessary.
