WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE DIVINE WISDOM

153. A child was brought forth to Hadhrat Thanwi (RA) so Hadhrat Thanwi (RA) may recite something and blow onto the child for the protection of the child.  As soon as the child was handed over to Hadhrat Thanwi (RA), the child started to scream and cry.  Hadhrat Thanwi (RA) then said, “The absence of knowledge and understanding is an astonishing thing.  It makes a beneficial thing seem harmful.  This child was brought here for its benefit but is has become uneasy.  Similarly is the case with Allah and us.   His attitude towards us is one of utmost mercy, but we become uneasy and scream.  We all should be able to derive a lesson from this.”
