Biography of Hazrat Maulana Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahib (RA)
Hazrat Maulana Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahib (RA) lived in Hardoi, U.P. India. His father was Maulana Mahmud-ul-Haq Haqqi Sahib (RA), who was a Khalifah Mujaaz-e-Suhbat of Hazrat Thanwi (RA). Their lineage went up to Shaikh Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehlawi (RA). His initial education of Arabic, Urdu, and Farsi started at home. Afterwards he enrolled at Mazaahir-ul-Uloom in Saharanpur, and completed the Alim course. During the course of his studies, his piety was such that it had an effect on his classmates and drew the attention of his teachers. He was also very fortunate to be granted the opportunity to travel to Thana Bhawan from Saharanpur every week. Especially during the holidays, he would stay in the service of his Murshid. It is for this very reason that Hakeem-ul-Ummah (RA) paid special attention to him. He received Khilafat from Hazrat Thanwi (RA) at a very young age. It was upon the order of his spiritual mentor, Hazrat Thanwi (RA) that he went to Hardoi to kindle the fire of the knowledge of Deen from which the Muslim population is still benefiting from. He founded a Madrasah there by the name of Ashraf-ul-Madaris. Besides the local students, there were students from Mumbai, Gujarat, Hyderabad, and other various places.
Keeping his religious yearning in mind, Hazrat Maulana Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahib (RA) had revived the Majlis Da’wat-ul-Haq that was initially formed by Hazrat Thanwi (RA). It then took a new beginning in Hardoi, and now carries on the work of Islah and Tabligh. They often host conferences as well because of which the fire of Iman was rekindled in the Muslims of Hardoi.
Hazrat Maulana Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahib (RA) was also the head of Majlis Siyanat-ul-Muslimeen, which holds its annual conference at Jami’ah Ashrafiya, in Lahore, Pakistan.
Hazrat Maulana Shah Abrar-ul-Haq Sahib (RA) was the last of Hazrat Thanwi’s (RA) Khulafaa to pass away. He passed onto the mercy of Allah on May 17, 2005. We pray that Allah fill his grave with noor.

Wa’alaikum Assalaam,
To my knowledge, I don’t know of any “detailed” published biography of Hazrat Maulana Shah Abrar ul Haq Sahib (RA). Whatever little info we have, we have from our Shaikh, Hazrat Hakeem Sahib (DB), or from books like “Kaarwaan-e-Thanwi” or “Bazm-e-Ashraf ke Chiraagh” etc. But I have not come across something detailed. Nonetheless, for such a great Alim, and our Dada Shaikh (grandfather shaikh) there should be a detailed biography because he deserves it. There are numerous anecdotes that I know of, but I did not see the point mentioning them in the biography. Insha Allah as time goes by, I will write some in the posts.

Assalamu-Alaikum,
I was fortunate enough to meet him during his last trip to the United Kingdom.
I was in Dewsbury Markaz at the time and witnessed an amazing experience.
The Night before preparations started for his visit. All programs were postponed and every one was asked to start cleaning as Hadhrat was coming and was due to inspect the maddressa and Markaz. Even the Darul Uloom Teachers and senior students were given jobs. I was in the group asked to pick up cigarettes butts from the front of the masjid. I have never seen Markaz in such a commotion. This added to the excitement of seeing in who honour this was all taking place.
I can still remember and relate every second but this is not suitable on this occasion so i will just mention when he walked into markaz.
Walked in with his right foot slowly as to show the people following him, prayed the duaa for walking in turned round and said to those following him “this is the sunnah way of walking in the masjid”.
May Allah give Hazret Saheb (r.a.) Janetul Firdaws
Ameen

Detailed biography of Maulana Shah Abrarul Haqq Sahab life and works has been published last year in Hardoi. The author of this book is Maulana Mahmood Hassan Nadvi. It’s in Urdu and the title is Sawanish Hazrat Maulana Abrarul Haqq. Publisher is Sidq Foundation.

Is it necessary to take Bayat on the hands of Akabirs as i have heard from some ulamas that it is a bidat to take bayat. It is proved from the Quran and sahih Hadith that Prophet Mohammed(May Allah’s Peace be Upon Him) gave the bayat to sahabas under a tree which is known as Bayat ul Rizwan.secondly Bayat is taken on the hands of Islamic rulers. So from where this tradition came into existence. If taking the bayat is a bidat then the entire ummah is in a fitnah.

Hazrat Thanwi (RA) would mention that islah is Fard upon every individual whereas bay’ah is sunnah. A sunnah cannot be a bid’ah. There are many types of bay’ah, one of them is what you have mentioned, but that is not the only one. If other types of bay’ah were considered a bid’ah, then many great ‘Ulema of the past till present would never have validated this practice.

Its the first time I’ve navigated to this blog… Although one year has elapsed, but one thing I feel inclined to say regarding Bhai Umar’s post (and its respective reply), is that …
Khanqah Imdadia Asharfia, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi – the place of Tazkiah-e-Nafs by Sheikh ul Arab wal Ajam Arif Billah Hazrat Aqdas Hazrat Maulana Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhter Sahib (Damat Barakatuhum) has accomodations for stay for all people who wish to get company (or, sohbat) of Hazrat wala…
Lots of people from all over the world (USA, Canada, England, South Africa, France, Bangladesh, India, Burma, etc) come and benefit in getting their Tazkiah.
But the important thing is to contact them first prior to actually coming here. This can be achieved either by email, by post, or phone.
Their official web site is : http://www.khanqah.org
Under the ‘contact’ tab, one can get detailed information as well.
So, in a nut shell, one can save him self the hassle of arranging for accomodation (hotel, etc.), when it is all possible through khanqah.
Hope this helps…
JazakAllahu Khair

wa alaikumus salam brother Umar:
The way to meet Hazratwala (who resides in Karachi, Pakistan) is that you apply for visa and get legal entry into the country. Thereafter you should organize for yourself an appropriate place to stay as long as you are there. Then once you are there legally and have organized the appropriate place to stay, you can go further to meet Hazaratwala inshallah.
It is necessary to know that the place where Hazratwala stays is not a hotel and does not have the appropriate accomodations for travellers. These matters must be taken care of before visitations. JazakAllahu Khayran

To anyone connected to Hadhrat Hakeem Akhtar Sb
I have read some of Hadhrats books and obviously i found them extremely useful. Especially when Hadhrat gives an explanation/tafseer of the names of Allah swt and quotes from Allama Alusi’s Ruhul Ma’ani and other sources. Is there any chance a booklet be published giving a brief description/explanation/tafseer of all the 99 names of Allah swt.
Please reply and may Allah swt reward you
